SLP Mass Airflow Sensor
Does anybody know anything about these Mass Airflow Sensors? They claim up-to 10 HP, but I was just wondering if anybody had done the mod, and had good resulte. Thanks

Don't waste your money. if you have a tune, or will get a tune, the aftermarket MAf's F up the tune. They have to be totally removed to properly tune the car.
If you really want a bigger MAF, get a Zo6 maf. Bigger diameter, and is totally compatable with ls1 edit.

Now everyone don't get your panties in a knot....you can upgrade to the zo6 MAF and increase diameter, thus increasing air flow. it is a simple bolt on fix, the price is right, and you can relocate your iat into the actual MAF itself.
For the money, it is a pretty good mod. But I would wait until you have at least LT's, TB, and CAI to make it worth it....

What if I prefer my panties in a knot? Thought about that?
Relocating the IAT prooved a very worth while effort....NAPA and about $14 you get the IAT sensor and the wiring harness ( listed as an 04 Vette IAT assembly)....cut the head off the existing IAT ( unplug your damn battery first folks) and slice/soder the new harness on.....now you can put the IAT in the wheel well if you want...I got a little filter that looks like a mini KN from Auto Zone...the IAT fits right into it.....
As for all this air stuff....folks...you could weld a fricking trash can on your roof and route copius amounts of cold air into your intake....if you aint got the heads and cam to handle all that air it is a waste of good air....only so much can go into the cylinder you know....and that is regulated by bore/stroke/valve lift and duration.....now I'm all for getting the coldest air possible....but you dont need a fricking scooper running along side of you....Last edited by Sarge; 02-17-2006 at 07:48 AM.
