    Sleeves for CAI

I've had a K & N CAI on Bessy for 2 years and the OEM sleeves are degrading and leaking. I've adjusted my slope injection without making other changes and continue to get lean codes so I know I've got leak somewhere. I've taken the system apart and put it back together numerous times...

So, I've seen pic's of blue sleeves on various motors and want to buy them. They appear thicker and made better.

    Who sells them?

I'm $hit green bricks if somebody sez home depot / lowes

it sounds like you have something else going on possibly. Those couplers should last a lot longer than that. Are you certain that ones leaking? What kind of tune are you using? Since you say you changed your slope can I assume you're using a diablo predator? You can check for vacuum leaks by going around everything with propane and listening for the idle to change.

typically if you're getting unmetered air in there it'll show up in the idle also.

How do you you use propane to look for leaks - are you saying with a flame?

No - I've never taken the intake off.
Brakes work fine, but I'll check around the entire engine...

you use the propane as a gas not a flame to check for leaks the car will rev up if you have a vaccume leak ,get a propane torch dont lite it,just use gas to find leak.

or water in a fine sprayer like most cleaners come in spray around the intake engine will suck in water and stumble a bit ( if you don't have propane or mapgas around or are afraid of a fire)

tb/ to intake seal, all around bolts, injectors, sealing edges.

I use propane because it doesn't require you to spray the engine down with anything....haven't been blow up yet.

    160 tstat
    K & N CIA
    Dynojet tune
    Borla dual exhaust
    CAGS Eliminated
PCV Delete / a PFYC breather
    Oil Catch Can
    NGK plugs

Bessie runs fine - I'll run her to the north country here during summer and get 27 to 28 mpg running along at 80-85. We have a boat load of bubble tops waiting to pick you off. As soon as I get off e-way and start across the state I'm up to 29-30 running along at 60-65. My father lives up north on a bay here...

So mpg is good, no other issues, just a lean code over time if I use the custom tune. The initial setting on the is -10% & a 12.5/1 AFR. To balance the LTF's I have to move her to -16% to get those to hover around 0%. Seems a little high to me from everything I've read.

I obtain the mpg with either setting...

have you looked at your ltft's with the diablo? Any certain place where they go positive? Sounds like your tune just needs some work. Might be time to invest in hptuners.
