    Exclamation service engine oil light wont shut off!!!! HELP

    so i just did my first oil change on my 05 gto... and i looked in the book on how to shut off the service engine oil light... it says to make sure engine is off... turn the key to on,slowly fully depress the accelorator twice within 5 seconds andthen turn the key to lock... well i did all that like 50 times and the fucking light wont shut off... can anyone help me, if someone has a little trick to getting it to shut off i would greatly appreciate the advise!! thanks
