Sorry to inform everyone but JOHN LOPER PASSED AWAY AT HOME THIS MORNING DUE TO HIS 2 1/2 YEAR FIGHT WITH CANCER......
HE WILL BE GRATLY MISSED AND HAS DONE LOT'S FOR OUR SPORT IN THE PAST 40 YEARS...........
In a couple of monthes it will be the 40th anniversary of his first SpeedShop opening....

RIP Johnny Loper
I attended the Winternationals back in the late 70s and Lil Hoss is the one car I remember vividly. The only other one was Cha-Cha's pink dragster.
I just found this pic of lil Hoss you'll have to remove the spaces from the link..

Lots of kids don't realize Johnny was as big as Force is today back in the 60's and 70's.
NHRA is adding him to their Hall Of Fame in Cali. soon.
We are also adding a memorial room down there at the main store soon....It will be in one of the old rooms of the machine shop.
