Questions about the '05 GTO's - Thinking about buying

I traded my '99 Z28 last December and I'm suffering from LS1-M6 withdrawal! I really like the looks of the new Mustang GT's, but I'm having a hard time switching to Ford! I've heard both good and bad about the GTO's, like restricted spacing for tire upgrades and the dreaded vibration from the 2 piece drive shaft. I know that there are 1 pc driveshafts available, but why did they go to the 2 pc to start with? What's the potential problem going to the 1 piece? I believe that would void a factory warranty.

What are the other gremlins that I should be looking for when I go shopping? Help!! I like the looks of the Mustang better that the Goat, but that LS2 with 400 horsepower keeps me looking for a good deal on a '05 Goat.

You have it backwards with the driveshaft....no issues with the stock shaft and only 1 instance where a guy running a heads/cam with slicks busted the stocker....some have had vibration issues when they replaced the stocker with the 1 piece BMR driveshaft. Sure it will void your drivetrain warranty....but nothing else....there are issues with the front struts leaking but that is covered under warranty and a factory TSB....
Difficult to compare a pony car like the Mustang to a muscle car like the Goat. GTO is one solid ride....the Mustangs I have been in have plastic everywhere and just ride "cheap".....
I have a one piece Extreme Performance driveshaft with no vibration issues at all....
