    Painted rims

    Anybody paint thier rims?A dude around my way painted them himself i would ask him but he isnt to fond of me lol. anybody know how?I figure it would gimmie something to do on the weekends.Or is it just a waste of time and should just have someone powdercoat em or spray em?I was gonna just go flat black murdered out style

    Get a bucket of water with Dawn dish soap in it and 1st scrub the hell out of your rims. Hand sand with 400 grit wet/dry sand paper keeping the rim and paper wet with the same soapy water, pay good attention to the dips and edges in the rims.

    Keep some extra paint cans handy for when it starts to chip from road debree.

    I've seen a few murdered out cars around and love the look...(There is even a guy down the road that went a step farther on his Supra and went murdered out with gloss black flames) looks sweet as hell!

    Any brand paint suggestions? Murdered out is the goal already got the tints just gotta get my headlights done again bc I put in those halo lights. I was gonna go debadgeing but from what I have read debadgeing the goat isn't a good idea

    If it as me I'd do it right the first time get them powder coated only if you like the look of the stock rims. For god sake don't use rattle cans

    If you pull the badges off there are holes behind them that will need welded shut.
    Derbs is right though, powdercoating is the way to go...I've even used good paint through the gun and clearcoat with a perfect prep job and they still chip pretty quick

    I painted my rims on my camaro. My friends Audi,suburban,montero, and a 98 cobra
    It's been bout 5 months. They still look clean
    Paint haven't come off
    I used flat blak rust oleum. I think that's how it's calld
    N I forgot. I painted my bike with that too

    You can do it your self. Just buy exta paint
    00 ss blk m6 " STOCK" strano springs, slp bilstein shocks, adj LCA, adj panhard bar, relocation brackets, 2 point SFCs welded,OEM zo6 rims black, magnaflow exhaust, CME exhaust,E/cutout, slp grille, custom front plate mount, HIDs, whistler mod, side moldings delete, slp air lid, ported and polished TB, strut tower brace, 3.73s gears, and some other parts to list!
    next to come,4.10s,ls7 clutch, ms3 or 228r cam, ported 243s, ls6 intake, ls6 oil pump. ls2 timing chain, longtube headers no cats, with a tune..

    I think im gonna see how much powdercoating will run my friend know someone who own a cutsom bike shop so maybe ill get a good deal.All the badges have holes behind em?i know the fenders do bc the aussies had sidemarkers there wich i was thinking about doin and just tinting the sidemarkers.
