Just wanna throw this out there, for those that want a catch can but don't wanna put out over $100, you can easily make one yourself by going to a local hardware store and auto parts store.... ITs up to you on how nice you want it... But acn be easily done...

I've heard about people installing CC's but mostly on LS2 engines. I've got an LS1 and I've been wondering for awhile if it's really worth the money and the effort installing one.

I've seen Husky brand oil/air seperators from Home Depot that work fine.

You just need some type of Air Compressor Filter like an Amflo Filter... some adjustable hose clamps, some teflon sealant, new fuel line, and some vacuum T's....

like i said it's up to you how visually appealing it is... either way I say its a good way to keep sh!t clean under there....

Run some of this through your intake.http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUp.htm
It says to run it through your brake boost vac line but to clean the intake from the TB back, run it slowly through the port that the U shape hose goes into the intake.
You'll be amazed at the amount of smoke that comes out when you start it back up.

Fair warning to those of you with close neighbors, they just might call the fire dept. on you.

Hey, Got1goat, I have used this for years but never in the way you suggest, will give it a try. Always use it in all the, trucks, boats, cars, atvs lawn stuff over the winter. I will take your advice and make sure the car is outside. No neighbors to worry about so all cool. Thanks, Jack

It is just as important/beneficial on an LS1 as it is on the LS2 engines....

Well today I wanted to check the new catch can and what a surprise, had about 1 ounce of oil in it! It does its job and keeps it out of the intake, you have to love that. Good investment should have done a long time ago.
