Turn your key to the "on" position....and pump the gas pedal all the way to the floor 4-5 times real fast....turn the key off....you just reset it....

hmm i tried it sarge but it didnt work. im prob doin something wrong. when u say "on" u mean turn once. or twice to where the gauges turn on (fuel gauge, heat gauge) ?? or do you mean start the entire car? and its nearly impossible to press the pedal all the way to the ground when the car isnt on cause its not running and the pb fluid isn't circulating...is there any beep or certain time frame when it says that pontiac check system thingy??

Sounds like your pumping the brake pedal there... might want to try pumping the gas pedal? That'll go down all the way, even if the keys not in the car.
