I think the reason NO one has answered your question is because of your wording. According to GM specs, LS1 engines require premium octane, which is 91+. I run 93+ in my car and always have; although, I have to now that it is supercharged. If you use a lesser octane you run the risk of spark knock. 91+ or greater is what I would use in your car. Hope this helps. Brad

The biggest reason No one has answered is due to the ?.
The motor can handle 120 octane if you want to waste the money as long as it is lead free.
Leaded race fuel which MOST blends are will kill factory style 02 sensors quick!
Your motor will NOT need anything beyond the 91 or 93 pump octane you get at the gas station unless you have added cylinder pressure. Add even then depending on the timing settings and how much pressure you've added you can still get away with pump gas safely.
Here is an link or two that might help aid you in some knowledge on this matter.....
Your friend is wasting his money if that WS6 is anywhere near stock!
We have found that you actually loose power if you put way to high of octane due to the slower burn rate it does NOT keep flame travel optimized.

All octane is is the measure of a fuel's re;uctance to ignite. Higher octane means that the fuel needs more heat/pressure to ignite. This is why it is funny to hear people that have low power cars that are filling with super say that they think they are getting more power. The fact of the matter is that the lower the octane, the biggerthe explosion. This is why boosted/high compression cars need higher octane to combat the problem of detonation. Octane is actually a really interesting subject when you get to know what it means and what it does. Most people think that it is cleaner or some how adds power when that is not even remotely true in your avergage street car.
