No more rusty brake rotors on my wife's GTO!

I hated the look of my rusty rotor hats beneath my wheels so I decided to do something about it. Oh, I did the calipers and brackets too!~ I think my wife was happier with it than I was!

I had them powdercoated and turned. If anyone has been considering this and is not sure whether they should do it or not, DO IT! It is worth the cost.

You did a very nice job. Since I'm getting my days off soon I think I will paint my calipers and the rotor hats this summer.

Don't waste your time painting them. The paint cannot take the high temperatures the brakes are subjected to. It will just chip and your rotors will rust again.

maybe on the rotor itself but I painted the calipers on my bird several years ago with hi-temp paint and they never chipped or flaked. I pulled the calipers off and completely stripped them down and sanded them smooth then put a couple coats of paint followed by a couple coats of clear. I have zinc plated rotors so I haven't had the rust problem with the rotors.

coating them and turning them is the only way to go. Wish we had a chance to win your buisness, but I know shipping is expensive and sometimes ties to shops you may know run deep.

I just upgraded to the new drilled and slotted with the zinc coatings,I have way too many 10 second 130ish passes on the stock ones they would not even turn a complete revolution when car was off ground without catching,I am very happy,Orion you tha man thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
