New GTO owner here :)

All I can say is AMAZING!

We picked up this 04 M6 GTO with 18K on the odo, man......like driving a BMW with american muscle under the hood. I love it. I have had a bunch of F-body's in the past(99 30th Anny Festival Pace Car Trans-Am Conv, 96 Firehawk, 94 Trans Am and now the going bye-bye 01 SS with only 29K on the clock.

I see I am going to have to ditch the wheels, and get the exhaust updated to the 05-06 style and of course...heads, cam, headers....oh yea, the mod GODS have arrived...

Nope , there is no comparing a F-body to a GTO.... Congrats on the buy... I love my 05... In all of the cars I have had in the past nothing has everything I wanted all in one place like the GTO..

The GTO is quite a different animal for sure, I wish I had bought one sooner instead of the LEMON 01 Camaro SS...

BTW, GM called me today and agreed to replace my engine at no cost in the Camaro for the piston slap issue....Figures, now that carfax is buying it back

I'll take some pics this weekend of her. She is a 04 Silver M6

I also just bought an 04 GTO w/22k miles on it. I test drove a bunch of different cars BMW M3, Mazda Speed 3 and 6, Mustang GT, Infinity G35, Subaru WRX STI, and by far the GTO is the best!

How did you go about them offering to replace your engine at no cost because most ls1's have piston slap mine does alittle not to bad though but hey if i can get a new complete engine why not thanks much.

Well, that is a very long story. Bottom line after 4 months of e-mails, customer service calls, got an attorney(which ended up doing nothing...

) , I got a response to the e-mail I sent to a certian VERY, VERY high up GM guy and wella it was done. I am very happy they offered to pay for the engine on my SS as I have 5 GM cars/trucks in our household. I was ready to buy a Roush Mustang

I took a few today and see I need a new digital camera, so here are some not so good photos. Santa is going to get me a new camera for sure

I like the Bra look on that car ... I think one of GTO downsides is it has no stripes .... I dont need no big Ralley stripes , but something to show off the lines... I think everyone has the same 'open door interior pic ...lol
