the coach was throwing them a lot slower than I do and they were mostly high on him. I bring the heat compared to that. He hits much better when they have a little speed behind them and are level instead of the moon balls. It's fun watching him learn. I loved baseball as a kid and was pretty damn good at it. Hopefully he'll love it as much as I did. I've been working on pop flies with him this week. He's only taken 2 to the face so far. I use those soft baseballs so they don't really beat him up like the regular baseballs we used as kids. Still make a distinct "thump" when they hit a noggin though.

I look forward to it. We play quite a bit in the backyard now....pretty much daily.
Went to the Ohio River tonight fishing. Did ok, nothing special. Little early for flatheads down there I think. We caught 8 with the biggest being 7.5lbs. I caught a decent channel cat that went 5lbs. Probably be another month before they really turn on down there.

Man I have thrown 7,395,120 balls to my Grandson. He knocks the cover off of it. I'm like you though. I bring the heat. That guys was lobbing them too high for the kids.
