    Does anyone run msd coils?Do they perform any better?

    I've heard the truck coils are just as good as the MSD ones. Haven't run either myself though.

    I like my msd but no real diffrence unless you have the controller to.

    I just don't see the need for them really....the stock coils combined with the short wires already lay a beat down as far as spark goes. Guys out there running tons of boost on stock coils and not blowing them out.

    My wires are 4 inches longer then stock.

    I agree been running 20 psi boost through the stockers,MSD's are pretty.. but way overpriced..they are good peices,just not for my buck....
    mods: custom built twins, built 408 w/l92 stock GM heads,GM matching intake,drag bags,frame ties,aluminum drive shaft, performabuilt 4l80e,Yank converter,ohios fastest and quickest 04-06 GTO 9.52 at 144mph. 1.50 60ft on stock rear end and shafts/suspension,on drag radials.
