I think you have put the question to bed, and proved without a doubt that Nitto 275s DR will fit fine on these stock rims. Like I said earlier, the 275s are only a 1/2" wider per side and thats not much, in fact the stock 245 tires are almost flat to the outside of the rim so there is plenty of room for a little bulge for these puppies.
On another note, the name of the thread is hilarious,,,

The price isn't the cheapest. they charge 200 per wheel that falls in the 1-3in category. if you try widening any more than that its who knows how much more. Me and my dad thought it would be better however for us who wanted to keep the stock rim style rather than by some corvette rims.

I'll let my dad know about the Nitto's. he's an old timer so I don't know if he'll be comfortable with DR's on his weekend warrior in the event he gets stuck out in rain, but I've been told the Nitto's aren't that bad.

Thanks for the complement on the tittle... lol I try to be creative with them

I think it could IMO. But mounting them WILL be a PITA without the right tire machine.

they will fit the stock 17 gto wheel done that on a few goats, you have to use the nitto 275/40/17 drag radials.
