    mid pipes...

    is there any difference in the mid-pipe section between the ls1 and ls2? more paticularly, in the jba mid-pipes.

    yes big differance, i dont have a pic but the two are nothing alike. im sure if you do a search for pics youll find some.

    Yes there is a BIG difference.

    Here is the corresponding part #'s and prices as per JBA web site.

    Vehicle: 2004 5.7L LS1 GTO
    Part Number: 2809SYC
    $608.58

    Vehicle: 2005 6.0L LS2 GTO
    Part Number: 2810SY
    $257.25


    So yes there is Major differences.

    That price is wrong. And probably for cated mids. But never the less the bends are different.
    New JBA catless mids go for about $230-$250

    Being a 04 LS1 has single sided exiting exhaust I took for granted the bends on the LS1 were different for that matter.

    thanks guys. i figured the mid pipe section was prolly the same and the different bents would be in the back section. well, the search continues....i was just tring to find em cheap.

    Well its obvious no one can question or debate anything you say. I dont care if you got the info from the JBA site. Im telling you what I have paid for both an 06 exhaust and an 04, since I have owned both. Do a little research on OTHER SITES besides this on and you will fine a good deal.
