    Matte/Flat Black Paint Project

    Hey bros.
    Been awhile.
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas.

So, here we are with another project too big for me and something I have never done before!

What we're going for is a nice flat black finish. I've given it a lot of thought and I really think this is the color I want.
The purpose of this post is for some feed back about the spray technique.
    I don't paint - but I'll learn.
    2 questions...

1)My main, and most important question is about this shit people are calling
    FLEX AGENT
I was told by three people that I need to use a flex agent in the paint that I spray the bumpers and skirts with so it doesn't crack.
Does that claim hold water? Or am I going on a snipe hunt? :P

2)I am planning on building an enclosure in my driveway to spray it.
Something like a temporary garage with a fan and wet floor for particulate. The exhaust fan would have a damp towel over the front of it to catch over-spray and fumes.
How big of a factor is humidity?

    Thanks.

The flex agent is no myth. You can paint plastic without it but if you flex it at all the paint will crack and flake right off. It has been a while since I have shot a car but back when I did mine I just purchased paint for plastic purposes. Yes humidity has a huge effect on paint. you will have to adjust your spray pattern and paint volume to comp for heat and humidity. Ive never shot flat colors before but ive been told its a pita, good luck.
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, if it wasn't for fords our tools would rust
