    LS1 Transmission shift Problem

    Hi Guys

I Stay in South Africa and drive a Chevrolet Lumina SS 2001 Gen III (LS1) model. Also known as Holden Comaro in Australia or Pontiac Gto in Usa.

Ive got a transmission problem for 18 months now! Its an automatic transmission. Everytime i shift up from 2nd to 3rd gear the clutch slips, also happens when im cruising and then accelerate it kicks dows but the rev's goes way up and after a couple of seconds it changes when i ease off the throttle. I had the transmission fixed 3 times in 18 months, but the problems comes back everytime after just a view miles. These co called specialists cant seem to find the problem. They fitted new colenoid, clutch plates, changed the pistons, but the problem persists.

    Anyone with help please??

I'd look at getting a more expensive torque converter that has a better/ bigger Lockup clutch...are you lots of debris on the tranny pan?
