Lighten a GTO

Does anyone here have any ideas on how to lighten a GTO? I want to make sure if I buy one I'm not completely stuck with 3700 pounds to lump around.

I was thinking you could put a CF hood on it and like a lot of people do, move the battery to the back to help out with weight dist. Also, what wheels are lighter then others? I know wheels and brakes can add a lot to a car and since I'd want to change both anyway what do you guys recommend?

CF hood, lighter spoiler-I *think* Gravana makes a CF OEM spoiler. SLP, BMR skidguard. There are many wheel choices(Stern, CCW, Motegi, etc.) so the choice is yours.

I never knew a new Goat weighed that much! Dam more then my 02 SS...

I weighed 3450 empty last night when I ran 11.71 on the motor so it can be dealt with.

Correct me if I am wrong but weren't the GTO's Heavier then the f-bodies? and arent the f-bodies about 3600 stock give or take?

also like 2 no gud place 2 find parts.....im sure there arent many used parts out there 4 these......but if there are hot spots 2 look,that wud help....

QFT!!! My bud's twinned APS '05 hauls @$$. I think he told me he has 10k on the tires and the rears are gettin low on tread since the install. And he doesn't do burnouts, either, haha.

ya my friend lost most of his tread on his camaro's rear tires this winter, and he's all motor. damn sports cars.
