    Just Got 04 Gto

Hey guys. My G/f just got an 04 GTO and i gotta tell you i wasn't attracted to them at first but after driving it i was very impressed. The car is amazing! I've always been an f-body guy but this car is like a whole different animal. Anyways i have a question Since modifications will be slight since shes not a gearhead i was wondering about an underdrive pulley and overdrive alt pulley. has anyone installed one and have they had any problems with them such as charging or cooling or ac not working properly. Also was thinking about a k&n CAI kit if anyones installed one how is the fittament?does it look good?I dont want to do anything to disrupt the beauty of this car under the hood. One other question this thing has an aftermarket ram air hood on it do they sell a ram air kit for this car to make it functional? thanks in advance for your help.

I put a k&n cai on mine when I first got it, Fit and finish are good, I do not have an underdrive pulley, however some guys on here do, and I have not heard of any problems. Get a tune, or diablosport predator if you don't have a tuner near by. Here are some pics of mine, and the hood is from MPD inc.

I have a underdrive pulley on my 04....no issues.....but It would not be on my list of "mild mods"....a dyno tune would be first and foremost....Yes the Banshee hood is fully functional as both a heat extractor and fresh air feed to the air intake (filter)...I have a few mods

superchargedblackgto . Thanks for the info I was thinking about staying away from the pocket tuners though because on an 01 trans am with hypertech power programer the car was detonating even with 93 octane under heavy load. there are some speed shops around here in chicago but i never really heard any good things about them. BTW where did you find that charger on your car it is very nice.

I would do a dyno tune, however Diablosport would be my 1st choice in handhelds. The SC is a Magnacharger, they have come a long way since I had mine made, they have a few more models, but it gets the job done.
