You could go one step colder....But I'd just get her tuned....let your tuner make the call....

I agree...
I put the JBA headers on with mid pipes and Corsa exhaust system...There is almost no more back pressure, and well my ECU needs a good tune...
If only my tuner would send me the new tune.....
As for the sparkplugs, i went with Bosch platinum +4 and Morosso wires...She is burnin clean...
Before someone jumps in and burns me, think this over...The Bosch +4s do not need gappin or any service done to them....I am way over on the other side of the world...Aftersales are slow to none, and gettin a hold of a real person on the phone costs more than the items worth...Also take into consideration Murphys law, "What ever could go wrong WILL...."
Plus your ignition system is just as important as your fuel system, if not more...No ignition no combustion no Happy...

Well, I don't know a good tuner let alone a tuner in my area...I don't have a second car to drive while the Goat is getting tuned. If I ran JBA headers, stock cats and JBA exhaust with new ignition wires and plugs would I be OK?

To be honest you wont have a huge problem.
Your GTO wont pull very hard in 4th gear, but you will feel a big difference in 1st-3rd.
Just make sure you disconnect the battery, and run easy for 20-60mins...Which means no 3,000rpm or above. Then let it idle with high beams, and a/c on...If it idles fine then have some fun...If not let the ECU catch up and take it easy a bit longer...
