    iPod Hookup

Can you connect an iPod directly to a Blaupunkt stereo or do you have to use one of the cigarette lighter/FM radion connections?

If there's no input Jack in the front of the stereo, then it probably doesn't have provisions for an iPod hookup. I'm assuming its a CD unit, so you can't use the cassette adapter.

Look in the owners manual for the stereo and see if they have a diagram of the back of the stereo, its very possible that there could be an AUX jack in the back.

Thanks. The owners manual was no help. I guess I will see if I can get the information on the radio from the Blaupunkt website. If not I'll just go with the plugin to the cigarette lighter and tune it through an FM frequency.

I've read a lot about the aux-in problem, and the best solution that I've come up with so far is something like the RF 3Sixty. JL makes one also, as well as AudioControl. Hope that helps. PRG04

Thanks for the information I will check it out. The cassette route would not work because I only have a CD player. It's never easy!

Not sure exactly of the GTO setups, but they have a relay cable that plugs into the back of my HEAD UNIT that Phirephal (ipod2car) makes. I just got done doing this and after calling cardomain and checking around over there I was able to get what I needed. May want to check that out, because my owners manual nor the service manuals help much in this case.

    Best of luck.
