    intake manifold??

I've been trying to find out if a LS-1 intake from F.A.S.T. or something like that, will fit on a LS-2? and If so do you think there is any power gains from doing so, I just can't find a performance intake for a LS-2.

Depends on throttle body size. The LS1 FAST would have a 78mm throttle body. The LS2 has a 90.

YES IT WILL FIT IF YOU GET THE 90MM MODEL!!

I have one on my 05 with a LS2 and I did the fuel rails at the same time.
Your lucky cause they now offer rails for the LS2 I had to fab up the mounts to make them work.
If you do a search I posted all the info and problems I ran into when doing my change over.
The vast power band increase is well worth it!!!

Not yelling just making sure that people don't get confused!! The prior response made it seem as if you could not run that manifold on a LS2.
You have to remember there are peolple on here that believe anything they see on here unfortunatly.

That is not correct. The LS1 is set up for a 78mm throttle body and the LS2 is setup for a 90 mm. This is why you will find a LS2 FAST is more expensive. A better way of putting it would be if you got a 78mm throttle body. However the LS2 has no throttle cable and an LS1 does.

Here in plane english order the intake model for your application.
They make more than one version.
    http://www.wilsonmanifolds.com/lsx.html
And you can convert the drive by wire to the 90mm cable driven throttle body that F.A.S.T offers......BUT anyways thanks for telling me about the different sized throttle bodys.

There is a new book out i think the title is Dyno Proven ls1 thru ls7 performance parts or something like that. Any way one of the "tests" is
a comparisson between the stock ls2 and then a LS6 Manifold with an 80mm
T-body and a FAST manifold with the 78mm T-body. The results were somewhat surprising, the smaller t-body and the FAST manifold made the most power, the ls6 manifold bested the ls2 by about 5 ft lbs and 6 or 8 hp.
I will try to get a copy of the "Test."

here is something if anyone is interested, it wont actualy show the results but the contents of the chapter. http://www.cartechbooks.com/cartech/...files/5723.pdf

Sorry i just cut and past the address for the website, i don't know how to make a link.

Great link I'm sure fellow members will learn from your link. Here is another one that test the throttle bodys also.

Thanks that's what I was looking for, and I did realize the ls-2 tb is drive by wire and it's 90mm, and the ls-1 is a 78mm I guess I should have stated it more clearly, I've worked on cars all my life all old ones, so I'm just getting familiarized with the PCM controlled engines, I got the basic jist of it, but sometimes I'd rather ask than be sorry, ya know. OBTW don't worry I don't believe nearly everything I hear.

So let me see if I understand. Your question was just to ask if the LS1 FAST would fit, with no concern to throttle body size? Meaning you were willing to change from a 90mm to a 78mm? (Not to mention the drive by wire issues.) If that was what you were asking then LS2 tuner is correct the FAST will work. Although why you would do this is a mystery.

I think he is talking about the FAST 90MM Intake. Many LS1's run it with a 90MM TB.

NO ONCE AGAIN I WAS TALKING ABOUT GETTING THE CORRECT PART # FOR THE CORRECT ENGINE!!!
F.A.S.T. 90mm Intake will work just fine with your stock drive by wire throttle body. I've had mine on for 6 monthes now.
Altough you could boost torque and lower torque curve by putting the smaller throttle body that would be the only reason to down size.
