Installin a Timing Chain and cam
Hey,
Ok i did my research, am about to get my double roller timin chain. But i do have a question.
After you install a Cam do you "Need to degree it"...Or will the point to point be enough?
I would like to be 100% sure before i open it up and then have to scratch my head and guess...
Thanx for the help

ide say degree it. Always. That way you can check to see if your cam is actually the cam you ordered, and be absolutly dead-nut sure its right. There are cases where cams ordered end up being completely wrong. I suppose thats here-say, but i have definatelyt heard of it happening. If you havnt ever degreed a camshaft before, the first time can be a major PITA. ecspecialy with no one to guide you threw it. I could do my best looking over my papers from awhile ago and jotting it off my head if you need help. Im sure others here can helpa bunch also.It is not impossible to degree it yourself. You can do it!. You will need some minor materials, degree wheel, coat hanger **cough cough** pointer, piston stop, and maybe a few others i cant remember. Good luck,
