Inside tire ware on the rear.
Is it common for the tires to ware along the inside on the GTO's? My BMW used to do that.

I dont know if it's common, but when i was painting my wheels yesterday i noticed my rear tires was indeed worn on the inside. I guess a 4 wheel alignment is in order.

I know there are afew different alignment specs out there for our cars, is there one special set of specs you recomend? I want to keep the rear close to stock height, but drop the front down about an inch, any springs you recomend.....i don't want a cushy ride, I want rough well planted race ride and handling

Yep...the stock springs sag pretty quickly. I forget what the correct height is, Frank can tell you, but the thing to do is to measure from the ground to the center of each fender lip to see how much you have dropped. It's pretty common for me to to go to a large goat gathering and see how much various cars have dropped in front or back (yeah it really is that easy to spot when it isn't uniform front to back). ...then tell the owner and have them say, wow I never realized.

Ok this is sort of off topic but then in the line of responses.
I'm working on my suspension set-up right now before going for power...put the power to the ground is my first priority!
I'm going with the Koni's in the rear but still looking for recommendations for the fronts and also what springs to get. I'm not looking into lowering the car but to get better handling response.
What do all of you think about springs and front struts/shocks?

From what I heard Konis are the best for the rear especially being adjustable. Don't really want drag bags since I also like to take it out for spins on backroads.
If you have other suggestions then shoot them out! Always like hearing opinions!

I'd like recomendations too. I guess about an inch drop all around and good stiff race suspension

Mark you might want to check out the Eibach Pro Springs available for the GOAT. It lowers to vehicle but stiffens up handling. You can trust Eibach for quality components.
What I'm interested in springs with stock height. I know Pedders carries them but is there any others out there?
What about shocks/struts? I know we have Koni, Monroe, and Pedders. Anything else out there?

MFGTO, Why do the shock mounts move and is it normal. When I first got mine I had to have a 4 wheel alingment and have had no problems at all. Please tell me the story. Thanks'
