    I'm BACK!!!!!!!

I was a victim of having my 2006 BO 6M Baby stolen. 2 days ago i found and bought a 2006 BO 6M with only 2256 miles. I have a problem. It seems its riding on waves when I hit bumps. any suggestions?

Are they leaking? Look hard for sign of leakage. Many times the Strut Bushings are shot and folks think it is their struts.....

    From GM/Pontiac...
Subject: 2006 Pontiac GTO's that have Developed a Front Suspension Strut Leak at Low Mileage

    Message #: PGS20060062

    ----------------------------------------------

2006 Pontiac GTO Strut Leaks at Low Mileage

Certain 2006 Pontiac GTO's that have developed a front suspension strut leaks at low mileage.
To address the existing SPAC cases GM SPO is air freighting struts from the supplier in Australia on a weekly basis. Vehicle can be driven until the service replacement parts arrive. Dealers have asked how to identify struts that may experience the condition. Refer to P/I PCI4141 for the Julian date.
The date code on is located on the center of the strut tube,

Date code format is shift) (dash) (day) (month) (year) (dash) (line)
    For Example: D - 16 JA 06 - 3
    D - 04 MY 06 - 3

Struts manufactured between January 16, 2006 and May 4, 2006, may experience the leaking condition.
Those manufactured prior to January 16, 2006 or after May 4, 2006 do not experience to the condition.
Struts should not be replaced if they are not leaking.

I don't like the pontiac service dept here. I have a few options about 10 to 30 miles away. I not sure if I want to go that route. Should I just pay out of pocket and go to a shop?

It seems it when i go to the dealership i always get hosed. i'm thinking that i should up grade my shocks. also, that same dealership was driving my car around for fun and put 15 miles on it and when i asked them about it they said they just drove it down the street. also, the front bumper was scratched up and tried to blame it on me. would i void the warranty if i switched shocks and struts? are stock ones good?

Does your car fall between the dates listed in the bulletin? That is step one. Did you look at your struts for leakage?

Look on the inside edge of your drivers side door.

the pontiac dealership was good about it....they said the struts were toatally empty and covered by warranty. The ford dealership said that they did not inspect it they just assumed it was ok and put a for sale sign on it.
