I Need Help!!!
I need help with the headers on my GTO I just got new pacesetters and the driver side wont go down plz ne help would be GREAT!!
PLZ HELP!!!

down? i installed my pacesetters from th bottom up, be sure and follow the instructions, i droped my rack n pinion out and lowered the k member a little but left it kinda bolted in.

yeah it wont go down. I tried to drop it down and it wont clear the steering. what else could I do and how hard is it to hook the rack and pinion back up?

it's not too bad, just be careful and don't lose anything (i.e nuts,bolts,washers) I also had to loosen the pass side and pull the bolt out of the drivers side motor mount and jack up the engine to get mine on.

I rhought GTOs were supposed to be easier to work on then Trans ams lol.

They are.....tight fit on the headers though.....no biggie ....just got to keep cussing and wiggling....

If that dont work try using butter so they slide in easier lol

ok there in! but i have a problem now its nothing to really big but the power steering line wont go back in becuz i unhooked the power steering and shaft.

it took me 5 hrs start to finsih to get the headers in and hooked up, then another 10 hrs to get the rack and pinion back in and hooked up, i worked a good 8 hrs on it went to bed pissed off, my cousion came down and we had teh rack back in in under a hour and starting the car, just need an extra set of hands and it was easy
