    Hours vs Miles Oil Change

Many of you do not drive your Goat as your daily driver. There seems to be alot that change oil every six months versus how many miles driven. On some of the more highly modified LSX engines such as a blower/turbo/nitrous or heads/cam cars...it is a good policy to change your oil every 50 hours of engine operation or six months...whichever comes first. Dino or Synthetic.
I use a little vibration activated engine hour meter to track how many hours the engine has ran. You can put it anywhere on the car...when you start the car it starts timimg. No wires or anything...lithium battery last for like 7-8 years....very accurate and cheap. You may want to take a look and consider something like this for your maintenance tracking.

Yes the hour meter is VERY cool!!! Thanks for the link Sarge. Alot of people don't realize that oil has a shelf life after being contaminated.

I have to reset the loop wire everytime I stop the motor. I talked to guy in sales named Bob. Hmmmm I guess I am going to have a toggle switch to cut the countdown of the clock when I stop the motor . These guys also do work for Autometer Sarge! They make the clocks for them.

Many need to spend the $45 and monitor their oil life better than milage.

I watch my oil pressure gauge. I marked the gauge at idle with fresh oil at running temp. the moment it moves up 1/2 the width of the needle I drop the oil. normally ='s 2,000 miles.

I going to order the meter and see how the two compare.
