    Which Headers Should I Get

I am looking to buy some headers and want to know which ones have been PROVEN to give the most HP increase and best sound. Which brand etc. do you recommend? **Keep in mind I live in California and they need to be compatible with the smog regulations.

    Sadly now demodded :(

Only shorty headers with an EO tag are legal in Cali. No LT's, no mid's, and you can't move the cats either.

Longtubes or go home. Unless you are deciding between lontubes with 1 7/8 or 1 3/4 the hp increase isn't there.
Going back to stock every 2 years ain't so hard.

Dude, I'm in LA and was scared for about a year and a half. Then said F it and threw on some Kooks LT's. Cops dont give a shit and I did the install a week after Reg. was due. I'm good for 2 years now, BUT, all I gotta do is go to a "friend's shop" and my car passes smog.

Don't waste your $$ or time on shorties. But to save some face with the cops if I'm ever busted, I put some hi-flow cats on my custom Y. Made the car sound way better and hopefully the cops will see that I still TRIED to comply with the law. (a friend of mine tried the same thing and the cop let him slide thinking it was stock.

I am considering Kooks, SW or Pacesetters for mine in the future. New Era looks pretty good to me.

I agree. Just buy what makes you happy and reinstall stock manifolds when inspection day comes...
