    go alittle bigger than my cam, you'll be happy with a 228

    What cam do you have, Ive just started looking around now. Ive never built an ls1, built many old school V8's big and small, I dont suppose its a great deal different.

    you can go bigger on the LS series motors compared to older small block because of computer, fuel injection and better head design.

    The cam you have is right around the size I was thinkin about. Im gonna do a procharger also so I dont want too much cam. Im trying to make it fairly quick but still very street friendly. My all out hotrod is a 65 nova, full tube chassis, 9", 468, full roller, 109mm turbo, on alcohol. Once its finished im hoping it will run mid low 9's with minimal stress.

    if it were me I'd still be looking hard at around a 228, but going forced induction, I'd go around a 116lsa to keep the overlap down

    Yeah, I agree. A cam is still a future mod. Right now im just looking and pricing.

    Well, Ive put a little over 1000 miles on the car since the headers and the spark plug de-fouler assy. It runs great and no MIL light. I must say im impressed, a simple ten dollar setup works.

    It will run a hell of a lot better with a tune. My ca threw a damn fit untill it was tuned.

    Yeah I know it will be better with a tune but I cant afford it right now, plus im gonna wait until I get a cam and tune it for both at once.
