Call Keith McCord of McCord Consulting Group, Ltd., Florissant, MO at 314-830-9471. He does custom cams with CompCams. He is also known as one of the best tuners around this area. He goes to KC once a month to tune their cars. Do you have a A4 or M6? I'm assuming you have an M6 because you didn't say anything about a TC. But thats a pretty big cam for a DD. The TQ ban is not in the normal driving rpm range. I think you would like more mid-range TQ than you would top end HP. I know there is alot of Fbody's that run it, but they weight about 400lbs less than we do. It takes TQ to get you moving. What heads are you going to run? Magic Stick 4 = need to flow well at high lift/RPM. I don't know what the valve to piston clearance is, but I'm sure it is close to or under the recommended. Just depends on each motor. No matter what head/cam you go with, don't just get the pushrods the company suggest. Buy a $20 compcams pushrod checker, and measure for yourself. Pushrods are a very important part of the combo, and so is the lifter preload. Ask the cam maker what the preload is for that cam. Keith can get you a custom cam for around $350. His email is kmccord@mccordcg.com. He has put alot of cams in GTOs in St. Louis and KC area. Good Luck. Gunny
