Did you eliminate the pre muffler yet......?
If not it made mine deeper tone once I replaced with 2 short straight pieces of pipe.
Louder would be with NO crossover weather it be a h or a x.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

I would say it is a pin hole leak in the weld somewhere.........

i heard the x pipe flows the best. and they should be similar in sound, your muffler is where it gets hairy...

i thought h-pipes had a more mucle tone to it and x -pipes have a more exotic tone

Yes it will change the tone. It will give it even more resonating than it already has getting off the throttle. If your still trying to get to sound deeper or more mean buy an "off-road" primary pipe that will eliminate your cats. They are working as a pre muffler.
