I dont see it being worth the money .. and dont like the seating or blind spot .. or the unknown factor of what/will go wrong with it ...

Ill just save my $15k .. make a good down payment on something else or mods ...

I rode in a new camaro and I didn't like it. thought it had way to much hype for what it is my t/a was much more impressive for speed imo. the only gto I've drove was a 04 5.7 so no idea how it stacks up to the ls2 gto though

    Destroying Mustang-

mine's an 04 5.7, i prefer the GTO still, partially because of the price tag tho...plus i'm already well underway on my mods, wouldn't quit in the middle just to be broke and try starting all over again with a new camaro

the ride and handling are practically the same- the ls2 has more power of course & beefier drive train.

Not to mention the price tag on a 2SS is a lot more than we paid for our goats, plus camaros and mustangs have always been a dime a dozen. Sure they are nice cars with a lot of potential, but after putting out $40K+ most can't even consider moding a new 2SS untill 2018. by then there will be plenty out there for sale.

I've already seen more 5th gen camaros around town than I have gtos. I think I have only seen about 4-5 other gto's running around town here. I'm sure theres more but I rarely see one.

When I get to look at this everyday when I go out into the garage, I think for the GTO owners, the answer is pretty obvious.

I'm sure that those that sell their Goats have their reasons. To each their own.

And I am sure that the former GTO owners regret selling theirs.

    Destroying Mustang-

oddly enough over the weekend, we sold a camaro trading in a gto...unfortunately, the owner didn't take very good care of the goat, and it needs some serious work before we can resell, but i thought it was odd that i'd been seeing this board keep getting added comments, and that very situation pops up @ work...traded 2004 PBM manual w 60k in fair condition for a 2010 1SS Silver/black stripes, manual with black leather and no RS pck...around a $22k difference on trade...

There is no way I'd do it, Ive driven both. The camaro just seems bigger and heavier than the goat. Besides, I think the camaro has the ugliest ass end I've ever seen, it's like the same tails from a new equinox but horizontal instead of vertical. I was a bit skeptical of the "new" GTO too, but after owning one, it grew on me big time, even the looks. I love the camaros front end but that ass is sooooo ugly! I could never own something that looked that way. Of course this is all my opinion so 5th gen. camaro owners don't take it personal.

mind you...as your goat grew on you...so would a SS ..it is just how our minds work...they justify purchases
