GTO Plate.....

Here is a cool plate I found at Black Sunday drag race in StLouis this weekend.
Never seen before figured I would share with you all......

They are gto plates that you can buy on another gto site but your car has to be registered in Illinois.

I was in Chicago for 2 days after the race in St Louis. We went to the street races and the track on Wed. and EVERYONE I spoke with had said they had yet to see one of those plates.

I looked them up in the store at my gto forum and they are sold out. They are numbered 001-100. They were also offered as souviner plates but could only be primary if your car had Ill. registration.

Yes, being from Michigan we see those plates on occasion. They are cool, and I think they are offered in a different scheme each year. Perhaps a collectors item some day??

You can only use that plate from the time it is issued until the event...in this case GTOAA nationals which is in July. So after the event it's not a legal plate.

Now THAT sucks!! Would have been nice if NJ had PERMANENT plates like that. I'd hit that in a heartbeat.
