    2004 GTO

    GTO clutch problems

    Hi every1, just a quick Q: I hv a 2004 GTO. yesterday when I got in it went to push in the clutch and bang it broke, lucky me first my ignition than my locks now my clutch..My Q is, WTF, is goin on w my GTO. Is the car know 4 all these problems? Is it the clutch cable? Thx diemnzz

    It's Hydrolic....I would guess the slave.....however, check the fluid and look for leaks.....IDK....what do you mean by bang broke?.....

    Definately need more info. Clear info, at that. "bang it broke" doesn't help.

    thx 4 replin, I got in my car went to push the clutch in and it made a sound like a hammer bangin on concret, than my clutch had no pressure to it. I love the car but the problems are more than its worth. I was told it might be a cable.!? could it be tht simple? Hv a awesome day!!!!

    Did you look 4 leaks?......is there a puddle under the car?.....did you check the resivour?.....do this and let me know.

    I hv chk for leaks and there are none...nothing is wet in the engine nor is there any puddles under the car.. thx again 4 ure help greatly appreciated..

    You need to worm your head down there with a flash light and look at the pedal itself to see if it broke the top of the lever off.
    Being that it is a hyd. system and you heard a solid bang I would lean toward that being the problem. Have you open the hood and checked the small master cylinder on the firewall for fluid level.

    When my throw out bearing went, I heard a 'POP' noise when I let out the clutch and then the clutch wouldn't engage. Not sure but maybe that could be it.

    found prob

    THX again to evry1..I got down there n found the problem, the plastic piece tht connects to the pedal is snap off. GOOD thing its under warrenty and is being fixed..Hv a awesome weekend every1....

    Sounded like the pedal due to the noise you described. The Goat's are Very well insulated and deaden noise alot. When you said it "sound like a hammer bangin" I knew it was probably coming from in the car to be that loud.

    Glad you found it and it was covered.
