    GTO Beep

I have a 2004 GTO and it runs great but I do have one issue. When it is hot outside ( above 85 deg. ) every now and then while driving the horn will beep, just a real quick beep. It may do it only once or twice and then not do it again until the next day. I do not know why this happens. Any Ideas ?

Body Control Module issue. I've read about this before on another forum. I believe the BCM has to be reprogrammed if not replaced. I'm leaning more toward reprogramming.

Is this the same module that controls the gauges ?

Also, check the harnesses that connect to the BCM under the glove box. The wires are known for rubbing against a metal bracket causing malfunctions. If any wires are chafed, wrap them in electrical tape and move the wires away from the bracket.

We just had the computer flashed four months ago because the gauges went crazy. I think we have to buy a new module now since the software did not completely work. Any idea how much these units cost ?

When my anti theft stopped working last year, I called the GM dealer closest to me and was quoted around $450 including the new BCM and two fobs which MUST be ordered together as once the BCM is replaced, your current fobs are no more good. I believe that price was without installation.

Yeah. I'm glad I was able to fix the issue myself. Was NOT looking forward to paying that much.

Thanks for the info. I am going to check the module this weekend. I hope it is a loose connection.
