It is a LOT more responsive. It now feels like a 400 Horsepower car should feel. I had a little fun on the way home with it just like everytime I get a new mod... I did a couple WOT runs to about 60 and then got on the interstate and ran it up to 100 and back down.

Gotta love better throttle response. For once, I love a little "kick in the pants", lol.

    lol

Now I don't have to worry as much about going from a roll. It is easily the best money I spent on the car so far. It was fun to get to watch the dyno again as well. I havent had a car on one in a long time.

While I was there a Mazda RX7 with an LS2 swap pulled in... I was so Jealous. Dynoed pretty good too @392 to the wheels untuned with just a cam/exhaust

I've seen an LSx swapped RX7 over here too at a car show over the summer. I heard the motor rumbling, but I didn't see an F-Body/Vette/SSR/GTO. Then I saw the RX7 and was like WTF??!! Was a very nice car. Motor came out of a 99 WS-6. Just amazing.

That is the only car that looks any where near as good as a WS6. Such a shame that the rotary turbo motors were plain shit. The guy got his motor from a wrecked corvette C6. That is going to be a nasty car if he can hook up.

It was awesome, and he got rid of the IAT stuff as well as all the timing retard stuff. The car has much improved throttle response from the way that it was. Next I guess is D/R's

Before: 352 RWHP 348 RWTQ After 384RWHP 369 RWTQ. And yes I will be going to the track next saturday! I might buy some tires first.

if you have the extra scratch laying around for the tires I would highly suggest them. Nothing worse than going to the track and not getting the runs you want due to traction. I know, I did it a few times last year.

I have HUGE D/Rs on the WS6 and still have issues with traction. I have spun halfway down the track before... Frustrating. Needs suspension to go with the rubber.

I had great luck with My turbo II rx7 1000cc injs, turbo upgrade ,alky,FMIC, 85mm exhaust, street port, put down 415 rwhp for a 1.3 ltr it was no joke. I love the GTO but the RX could spin 9,500 rpm and never miss a beat.

Did you have any durability issues? What kind of boost were you pushing? Sounds like a fun car. I like the RX7s a lot.

I have heard the Wankel is practically bulletproof. My neighbor has a 91 FD3 boosted RX7 and the thing looks nasty. I haven't seen the thing run, but I think he's pushing 300+ through the rear wheels.

I have a neighbor who has one, 93-95 body style turbo and it hasn't run right in two years cause he keeps going through motors. He is on the third motor now and hasn't had trouble yet... Stock turbo and boost. Maybe it's just his luck...

Possibly running too much boost. That WILL destroy a motor in no time.

That it will. Especially with stock internals

I was running 24-25 psi all the time with progressive alky controller. ran a 10.92 @ 126 1 one and only pass it ever made at the track. Car had over 30,000 miles logged on that setup its just like any car if you know what your doing its alot easier you need the keep oil in the seals and they will not blow and it will not break if you have it tuned correctly. I ran a marvel mystery oil 1oz per gallon to keep it in top order. Only reason you here problems out of them is idiots. Some one who adds to much timing to a LS and beats the bearings out or turns the boost up without the proper fuel system and logging equipment on a turbo car. No reason any built motor under 12-1 comp should not live for 100,000 miles

Boost is on my list of things to do... Expensive though. It will be a couple years of saving up
