Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Which probably will mean a new Impy SS, as I have read the next generation Impy will be based on the platform of the GTO, Maro, and CTS.

I'm for as many rear drive v-8 cars as they can make. It'd be nice to have a good selection of those cars in different price ranges.

I agree.. but I have already accepted the near fact that by the time my LS1 will be ready for an upgrade, there won't be anything worth a damn to replace it with.. so it will be engine upgrades only..

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Now what I am wondering is this...since this platform is used for Chevy, Caddy, and Pontiac, would Buick use it for another GNX? Remember the GNX concept based on the 04-06 GTO?
extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings

I never saw that concept. I'm for as many as they can make but I think the most important part is to not make them all top tier cars. GM needs a solid v8 rear drive car in the mid to low $20's and I think that car would sell it's ass off if they used a holden design. Holden doesn't make an ugly car.

I bet there will be some form of Holden around then. GM has put it's eggs in that platform and the cars seem to be doing ok. The G8 hasn't sold too bad and the camaro is doing pretty well. Price is the key I think. $30k+ sport sedans will only sell to a certain market. They need something that's going to appeal to everyone. I personally liked that Ute they were going to import but I think it would've been a very small percentage of people that bought it.

White- 09 G8 GT
Time to pick up an 08 G8 GT for almost half price next year.....hahah this happened a few years ago did it not? "there will be no more production of the GTO after model year 2006" and now look at 'em....can we say performance bargain? I'm not spending CLOSE to 40k on a G8...but I would spend 19k

Me wonders if this will be called the Lumina SS here or the next Impy SS? Hmmm...

A major reason for this is Fords decision to cancel the Grand Vic. Because of this it gives police departments only the Charger as a rear wheel drive cruiser. Enter Holden and the Commodore police package which made this a done deal. There is talk that several US cities have already committed to purchasing the Caprice police package.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
I've heard talk of some Camaro police car conversions in the next year too. Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be on that like stink on the shiz...they already have a bunch of chargers, and half their lineup back in 2000-02 was B4C Camaros. I'll be sure to take some pics if and when I see one...I'm sure I could find a way to get my car in the pic too, a little speed gets attention rather quickly

Lutz said today that GM changed its mind for good...the G8 is dead. No Caprice or any other rebadged car will take it's place.
