    That's the most important part!

Based on where UPS picked mine up, it looks like mine drop shipped directly from Ingalls

*wonders how many "ass sideways" stories will be posted as a result of their "stiffy"*

Im not a track guy, what Im interested in is doing mods which improve the car's performance and longevity. The question I have about the stiffy is, if I install it is it gonna transfer forces to places where Id be potentially harming the chassis...maybe its a silly question, but seems most people here are track guys. I bought the car with 17k on it in 2014 and I aint never had a car with so few miles and I want it to last a long time and do the mods which I think would help me in that way. The car has ported 5.3l heads, Im assuming the cams been chaged from stock although I havent verified so my 2004 is now probably running about 400 hp which is fine for me. What are the potential problems created by using the stiffy and not allowing the motor to move around as it does w/o the stiffy....thanks in advance for replies.

Even not tracking your car, keeping the engine from bouncing around is a good thing. I would not hesitate to install one on any performance oriented car. As mentioned early in the thread, chaining the motor to the frame rail was the old school way of accomplishing this.

Back when I posted on the GTO forums, I didn't read any negative threads about reinforcing the engine to the inner fender. Folks also replace the factory hydraulic engine mounts with polyurethane mounts as well as a polyurethane trans mount.

Thanks for the reply fellas. I been reading Sarge's posts which are fantastic, just discovered them as Ive owned the car 6 months. I noticed Sarge aint posted since like 2011, does anyone have any idea what happened to Sarge and why he hasnt participated in the forum in over 4 years?
