Red- 1956 GMC 370 LCF Rollback
Enclosed coil covers
Good morning. I'm looking at the enclosed coil covers from Abear Motorsports (http://abearmotorsports.com/) and I'm curious about what issues may result in removing air flow from around the coils. Will they heat and exhibit reliability/longevity issues, or will they be fine? These would be for an LS2 from a 2005 GTO that will find its new home in a 1937 Chevrolet. Thanks for any and all input.

Nasty performance makes a nice set also . I personally wouldn`t have the coils enclosed .

coil covers
The coil covers you refer to retain heat. You are placing the coil packs in an enclosure and then heating them on top of the cylinder heads.
Perhaps a better method is available at Jeg's. These covers attach to the coil brackets and are open on the sides. While made for an F-body, they can be tailored to fit the GTO easily.
