I pulled one of the dumbest things I've done in a while tonight. I'm getting everything together to go bow hunting tonight. I had my truck parked out by the shop in the yard last weekend and was listening to the Saints play on Sirius. Well, I forgot to turn the satellite radio off and it's been on all week which equals a dead battery. This is a brand new battery mind you because I had to replace my old one last week. Now not 15 feet from where I was parked I have a perfectly functional battery charger but I thought I'd save myself some time and just pull the GTO around back and jump start the truck. The GTO was in the drive parked next to our all wheel drive Durango, this becomes relevant in just a minute. So the scene is a GTO next to a 4x4 Durango in the driveway and a 4x4 ZR2 Sonoma in the back yard with a dead battery. I got in the GTO and pulled around back and swung out wide into the yard so I could meet the truck head on. As soon as I cut my wheels I started spinning. I backed up a little bit and that's where the car sits. Buried in my own back yard just out of jumper cable reach of my 4x4 truck. I pulled the battery out of the truck and put it on the charger. I'll get the car unstuck Sunday when I get home from the woods. Sometimes your the dog and sometimes you're the hydrant. Tonight I was the hydrant.

You might as well save all the smart ass remarks because I'll hear them all when the wife looks out back and notices my GTO stuck in our own back yard.
