Dealt with this parts vendor?
Has anybody ever dealt with this parts vendor?
http://www.jhp.com.au/jhpgto/harropcover.htm
This is about the best price on the Harrop differential mount/cover I've found $407 delivered. I would work out a deal where I would withhold my card payment until the part was delivered. If anyone has a better source I am open to suggestion. Thank you for your time.

They are australian so might want to check if they will sell to the U.S. market or have a counterpart here. That 'shipping included' may not be eligible for overseas.
The new Camaro has the IRS too. I am not sure if it is the same as ours but I hope it is so these covers will become more abundant and cheaper!!!

The stock design is pathetic. The one in the link is much stronger, helps get rid of wheel hop, keeps the differential from smacking the subframe, keeps the differential from shifting around. This mount and a bushing kit are actually the first mod's you should do. I had some other minor issues to handle but those things are my next moves. I bought the car in February. The mount normally lists for $499. The factory design is a JOKEWORTHLESS!!! The only other option is to modify a Mustang Cobra rear end to mount under the GTO. They sell a complete kit for . . . $3500. Nice huh?
Trust me, if the stock one was worth a damn we wouldn't be having this conversation. It's a conspiracy IMO.Last edited by Goat-E; 08-27-2009 at 08:05 AM.

The stock IRS is a nice set-up until you reach over 800 whp where the Cobra SVT IRS swap is needed since those have been proven to take serious beatings with +1000 whp.
Wheel hop is an issue for the GOAT. Replacing the mount with two mounts for the diff really helps....the cover though really is just a luxury of holding more fluid thus keeping the diff cool when pounding the strip. Mounts are key!

My car came with a Harrop cover. I love it. Wouldn't have it any other way. Had my car at a track in NY and the car took off like a bullet with no hop whatsoever.

I've bought lots of stuff from JHP; good gear, good company. Expensive, but good kit.

The only bad I've ever heard about them is they are expensive, but their quality seems to be top notch. I'd hop on that diff cover!

Thanks, yeah, there's a scrape factor there. If you put your foot under the front lip it rubs the top of your shoe. Just a tad low.
Usually what tends to be expensive is freight from Oz. If they have a source in the States then that's awesome.
Here's some more pix; those are JHP Dominator side skirts and rear bumper. I also have the Harrop Differential Cover and HAD the Bluetooth kit and two Monaro front ends from them. All of it has been great gear.

Now that's awesome! I better get on over to JHP and take another look.
