    Custom tunes for handheld tuners?

Ive heard that you can download custom tunes to your handheld tuner from the web. If so where could i grab one?

I've never heard of this and honestly i'd be pretty skeptical about doing something like that. Mail order tunes are great, but if you can throw down a little more cash i highly recommend a dyno tune from a reputable shop near you. Its well worth it

Without knowing the source of the tune, or what parameters have been modified, I would be very hesitant to upload one to my car.

I have almost the same bolt ons as you and the tuner, took mine to reckaet in ceader park 512-653-8887 and it was the best bang for the buck. The D tuner made the least #'s with the bolt ons, the stock tune is better and after the tune it was a different car 387hp at 5762 and 383 at 4730 to the wheels base on a 6spd car is about 320, so I agree with the above folks a dyno tune is the best way to go, also the driveability and gas miliage is better.

I agree with everyone else. A good dyno shop with excellent tuning knowledge will take good care of you. Handhelds can only do so much, but a professional tuner will really make your car haul some tail.

Post a for sale thread on here or on eBay. There are folks who would buy a handheld tuner who don't want to mod their GTO.
