    cooling fan problem

My cooling fans are not operating at low speed when temp reaches 192 & up. I have replaced #2 Fan Relay and engine temp sensor. If I engage a/c compressor they will cycle on and off with the compressor. Have seen temps up to 210 at idle with no fan operation.

Any suggestions or tests I can perform?

    Thanks!!

Usually between 180ish and 210 is normal operating temp. Fans only kick on as temps begin to exceed the 210 mark or so.. I think imho you're trying to fix something that is'nt broke. If you still have doubt you can have the fans programmed to kick on sooner. However you will also need to change the thermostat for that kind of tune or it will never reach closed loop..

I know at 192 the fans should run at 25%. This is the stock setting. Also this is the coolest temp setting you can start adjusting.

Check to see what voltage you are getting to the fans when they should be operating. At some point they must be coming on to keep you from going over 210. Could always put a manual switch in to bring them on when you want them to.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.
