    Coolant Flush

Flushed the ATF and Coolant yesterday. I use the flush machines for both.
I use no Water Wetter or Royal Ice stuff....just plain old Havoline Dexcool.
Gets it all out I do this every spring. I have never had any issue with DexCool....the "sludge" issues I have seen have all came from leaky coolant systems....What do you folks use? How often do you flush it? How do you flush it?

I use our flush machine at work (Goodyear) with Havoline Dexcool and reverse osmosis or demineralized water, every three years. I have had no issues either.

Well, I just got through flushing out the cooling system on my 01 S-10 yesterday, and it was horrible. For a couple minutes, it was only rust colored antifreeze/water. That's why the heater core got stopped up on it when I bought it. The older guy that owned it before me never had the cooling system serviced. He took very good care of my truck otherwise, and I don't blame him. I blame GM on their BS "150,000 mile no service needed for the cooling system". Yeah.....riiiiiiiiiiiight.

On a side note, my GTO has a build date of 12/05. So I will be changing the coolant on it sometime next week. DexCool is ok, as long as you change it every couple years.
