Can a GTO sound like a T/A WS6 or Camaro SS?

    Hi guys

Does anyone have soundclips of his GTO? I know the site www.ls1sounds.com but there is no GTO sound. yes i know, it's a LS2 and that's the reason there is no soundclip

And can a LS2 GTO sound bad ass?

    Thanks for respond!

It won't sound identical because its a dual exhaust compared to a single exhaust of the F-Body. They can sound as bad ass as you want though. Same companies make exhaust for both.

And the 6.0 Litre GTO will sound diffrent too. The fact is here in Switzerland you will not find many of them so i have to find sound clips. :-S

After hearing the GTO, you will forget all about the sound of the F-bodies. The GTO sounds so much better you'll be trying to get the F-body to sound like the GTO. This is contingent upon comparing stock systems.

OK, maybe i shall compare LS1 to LS2 without "normal" exhaust.

It won't sound like that it either. LT1's sound better than LS1's. Different firing order allows that.

Here are some GTO's on the dyno:

Mine is the silver 04 - has long tubes and cat delete, otherwise stock exhaust (stock cat back)

    The others have SLP powerflo.

Kind of hard to hear over the sound of the tires on the dyno though

COOL! They all sound nice... but does no one have a sound clip from the street? Without Dynos? For a better comparing.

Yep, that was Cecil. I go there maybe once a year. I'm in the minority where none of my cars run good there. I'd much rather go to MIR. But if there is going to be a good turnout and I can make it, I'll try and be there. That day there was 6 GTO's there

I found another video - this one is an 04 LS1 GTO with stainless works longtube headers, cat delete, and stock catback.

    Enjoy:

Stock for stock the GTOs sound way better. Modded they both can sound good but I think F Bodies definetly need true duals. Unknown's 05 sounds sick to say the least...

    AZPS02 cam - PRC springs - Comp pushrods - SW LT's coated blue - no cats - Magnaflow cat back - K&N CAI - Yank SS 3600 - B&M tranny cooler - Dyno Tune - Hotchkis sway bars - 6000k low/fog HID's -
