    Cam Cost

    Did anyone replace there cam? if so how much did it cost with labor and everything?

    Depends on the cam / cam package you go with. I went with a custom ground cam package with the cam, springs, pushrods, seals, retainers, etc and that ran $925. Some speed shops offer off-the-shelf packages for around $600.

    Also, while doing the cam it's a good idea to change your timing chain, to an under drive pulley, and to a high-volume oil pump. These parts will cost you around $400-500. If you shop around on eBay and such you can find some pretty good deals.

    The install cost me $850, including the oil pump, and I had it done at HPE in Houston. The tune was another $425.

    If your car is an automatic, you'll want to install a stall coverter.
