bigger better faster build
Well last week I'm sure most of you know I hydrolocked the motor in my 04 GTO and blew #7 rod out the side of the block and oil pan... Now for the ressurection
This week pulled the motor out and tore it down.
Reusing the ported/polished and milled 241s for now,
238/242 .595/.595 112 Trickflow cam
Adjustable double roller timing set
Melling hv oil pump
7.400" pushrods(if possible)
Now the fun stuff=
Fully forged 404ci stroked 6.0l iron block
Edelbrock Proflo XT intake (jus came in yesterday... Its hugh!)
60lb injectors
Also while the motor is out I'm doing a big cleanup and deleting parts=
ABS gone
TC/cruise unit gone
Computer relocated under the dash
Wilwood manual master cylinder and re running new lines (if you have not tryed using the new eazy bend lines you MUST and will love them)
Flaming River manual rack to delete the power steering assy
Also possibly relocating the coil packs if the valve cover covers will not fit with the new intake.
I'm still running the stock 04 hood and pretty sure it will hit the intake so a might need to do some custom metal work to the hood for clearance... Thinking I might need a small hump like the older Eclipes
I have some pics sofar and will be taking more as I go!

It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

The new manual rack and master cylinder came in today and are sitting on the livingroom table.
Oil pan still being shipped
Just ordered a fast 90mm tb
This morning before work I port matched one of my already ported heads and one side of the intake. (I forgot how quick aluminum shaving cut your feet up when they get in your boot) lol
Hope to pull the stock rack tonight when I get off work

PBM 366ci TC78 E85- 2004 Pontiac GTO PBM A4
sounds like fun, are those ported 241s gonna flow enough air for a 404? Not sure, thas why i asked.
on another note about me, Ive pretty completed my rearmount turbo build. I got most all of the piping for free so i figured what the hell. Im looking for a good donor motor at a good price to start forging, then when the motor is out, ill do a front mount build

The ported 241s will work, but better heads are in the future. All the parts are in but the injectors (should be here begging of the week.
The motor should be here in an hour or two

Got the engine put together, dropped in (did not clear the hood lol), most of the brakelines re ran, master cylinder mounted, and the new rack mounted and hooked up but its the wrong rack (turn the wheel to left and the tires turn to the right) Summit made it right and is ending the correct rack to me

Lookin good, now that the intake is so high you can make a swamp buggy out of it
Just curious did you check your diff after you hydrolocked the motor, there is a chance water could have found its way down the vent tube.
