Anybody running them on a 8" wheel? Roll the fenders? Where did you buy them?

Mine aren't drag radials, I have KDW's but they are the same size (on stock 17 rims). Rubs the inner fender plastic piece. On heavy throttle or big bumps, haven't noticed much rub on the outside most seems inside.

I have 275 40 17 with a 9.5 wheel on the rear the lip needed trimmed with MT drag radials and the inner fender needed alil massaging from a BFH ,but if you run nittos same size they dont rub and im not sure cause i trimmed mine before the nittos but maybe no lip trimming needed

yeah when i had my nitto 555r drag radials they nnnnnever rubbed. now with the nitto 555 extremes there rubbing again from 1-2 under full throttle..i hate that shit. im hoping it'll just cut out a lil groove in the tire like before with my kumhos so it doesnt rub anymore..does that rubbing slow us down much??

Yes Sarge I have had them on stock 8"s and they did rub around corners and required rolling the lip up or grinding half of it off.

The BFG hooked NO WHERE near what the Mickey does also. He actually sold them used and went to the Mickey due to spinning on the street.

What wheel are you running? Did you have to use spacers or anything to get it to fit?
My fenders are rolled...and an additional half inch beat out by Bob at Coach Motor Works then repainted. Looks factory...but I can get a big ass tire in there now....curious of a 275 tire on a 8 inch wheel.....

    BFG's specs

    P275/40R17/LL null null 74184 9 - 11tread - 11section width on 9.5wheel- 25.7dia.

    Mickeys specs

    P275/40R17 26 X 11.50R17 9 wheel- 11section width- 10.0tread- 26.0dia.

So I think you'll be fine Sarge. The Mickey's that I run on a few Goats with stock wheels are wider than the BFG's and I usually grind about half of the lip then roll what's left and have minimal clearance without rub issues.
With the work you have already done on the quarter's you should have plenty of room even with the sidewall bulge that comes with the 8" wheel.

Well I just ordered the BFG KDW2 255X40X17
So I have (2) 245X45X17 Nitto's with less than 20% wear on them (these have never been to the track) I'll let both go for $100 plus shipping. Shipping will be around $30 bucks I am told by UPS pretty much anywhere in the US. They have only been on for a short while. If you ever wanted to try out a Nitto Drag Radial on your GTO this is your chance....
