best catback for gto...
I currently have the GTO in my sig. I have cutouts on it now but cant stand the interior noise and vibration anymore...Im lookin to buy the loudest and best flowing catback for the money. No flowmaster of course, and headers are not a future mod because i am finishing up my degree this fall so cash is short..i was leaning towards slp's loudmouths. I dunno which is better, one or two?..and although i used to have a borla on my z and loved it. i dont have money for it....Also will i lose hp switching from my cutouts to a catback? my cutouts i know flow better up top and sit right under my driver seat (noise sucks)...But i plan on cutting out the cats and welding the catback a lil further up because my cutouts are welded to them so maybe a lil bit of flow may increase...
01 m6 z28 - lid / lt headers / 3' ory w no cats / flowmaster catback w 3' dmh e-cutout / nelson pcm tune

wow. great price! thanks man..yeah thats the first loudmouth huh? hey sarge, so up top i wont lose that much?? also im gonna post some pics from under my car of how they welded the cutouts because the way they did it (piss poor). They actually cut out the piece of pipe where it bolts my catback to the actual x pipe..i could prob just take it to a shop and they could weld a pipe to it most likely but im just a lil pessimistic about it..need another opinion...

No nothing lost up top.......I run the loudmouths in a "custom" exhaust....
This is my signature. It is mine. Nobody else has one like it.

They just are NOT the best flowing muffler. Not to mention most like the Flowmasters due to the 5.0 Mustang era that made those mufflers what they are today will NEVER sound anything like that on any Goat.
I have found that any type of chambered muffler like that sounds a lot better with a H-pipe system. Where as X-type system sounds better with a blow through like the Dynomax Bullets.
I like the SpinTech Prostreets and also the new DNA's Street mufflers sound really good to me.
Personally I can't stand cutouts due to the resonating that reminds me of glasspacks. Not to mention it would need to be tuned with them open to see any real gain other than noise. Which will also mean a loss in power when the mufflers are hooked up.
