Yeah....this has been discussed and makes perfect sense....but has not been done yet.....I can tell you some slight pinging (detonation) was eliminated in 2 GTO's that are part of our test mules.....Both of these cars had a custom dyno tune and only 91 octane gas available....the 2stroke mix eliminated the ping.

hoping to jump in and start doing some real tuning on the goat this weekend and one of the big things I want to spend time on is timing tables and the MAF

OK guys and gals, I've put 3 tanks through my car. Pulled the plugs before and after 3 tanks plugs are cleaner, miliage is up 1 and am very happy so far. Think it is a good deal. Thanks, Jack

Yeah.....I must have pulled the plugs 50 times before I was satisfied....fact of the matter is 2 stroke oil is designed to burn cleanly....it cleans the upper cylinder and the ring packs......thank you for posting up your experience so far....I will tell you my Silverado just keeps getting better and better...I am on like tank#30 and have gone from a consistent 17.3mpg to over 19mpg...drive the same road same way everyday....all for a couple of bucks a quart I'll also go on the record of saying the GTO starts much easier now......runs like a stripped ass ape...but she definetly starts easier....cant say anything about the idle with that monster cam

I 've seen some of the specs on your car, damn sounds like a lot of work and $, but it is so much fun, also put it in my wife 2004 chevy

5.3 truck and waiting to see what happens and in my 85 chevy with a 97 vortec carb, but don't drive it much because I worked it over a lot and it gets about 11 mpg,big cam etc. By the way it should still work on a carb engine, don't see why not.

    Question

How will this affect the people who live in an area with emissions testing? I used to live in VA where they test. Florida for the most part doesn't, but that will be changing in the next year or so ! Have you ran any cars through emissions testing before and after to see any difference either way? Will it be detectable in an emissions test? Would it improve, or worsen emissions? How much in advance of a said emissions test would you have to stop using it to purge it from the system prior to the test?

Hey man...welcome by the way....emissions are reduced actually...we attribute this to the cleaning of the top end and the ring packs...2stroke oil is made to burn efficiently and it does....actually you can see a few post above where a member see's cleaner plugs already....this has been consistent throughout the testing phase and looks to be holding in the real world runs.....so thanks for your question and welcome to the sight....

    Welcome to the site.
I was on the site before as ANTIVNM. But that name and password were tied to an old email account that I no longer has access too and couldn't retrieve my information from. Couldn't get the other name back, so I came up with this one.

Anyway, I tried skimming over the first 2 or 3 pages and just didn't feel like reading the whole thing. Plus I wanted MY specific questions answered, not someone else's whose maybe worded differently. Sorry about that, but I can be a little lazy sometimes? Besides, the only stupid questions are the ones never asked! That's what this site and others are here for, to help other people who share the same passion of the all mighty LS1 and the car thing. Correct?

Not trying to start any crap with you guys. I really am not. I was just kind of excited about the whole thing and trying to get some answers for me and a few friends. I really didn't think it would be such a big deal, even if they were already asked to have them answered again.

    Eh, what ever peace!

Has anyone asked if they have used this on a car that is boosted or being sprayed? Is going to change anything IE, make it safer for power adders or bad to use with power adders?

Actually we have two nitrous folks and one twin turbo car in our test "fleet"....just the pinging ( detonation) went away when they burned 91 octane versus the 93 octane....the 2stroke oil will not affect the octane rating itself but does help with detonation...

ok guys I put the mix in last night and filled it up after the first 30 miles on my ls1 with 140xxx miles on it. The idle is much smoother and the acceleration feels much better especally at low rpms. Thank you for the post this has helped a lot. I'm going to run some seafoam only in the oil tm and do and oil change and see how she runs after. Questions I have a 03 yamaha r6 (streetbike) I'm thinking about trying it as it seems would be close to the same anyone think this is a bad idea?
